Aloha and welcome to Hanalei Retreat Hale on Kauai’s North Shore. (Hale means “home” in Hawaiian). Our vacation homes are perfect for groups, family reunions, retreats and weddings. Hanalei Retreat Hale is located just across the street from Hanalei Bay and beach where you can indulge all your ocean adventures or just relax on the warm sand and enjoy the mountain views. You might even get to experience a rainbow over the mountains with waterfalls cascading gently behind. Hanalei is one of the most beautiful places in the world! Ideally located, this is one of the few private retreats on Kauai where you can easily walk to meet your desires. The quaint Hawaiian Village of Hanalei town which features unique island shops and boutiques, grocery stores, including organic, a farmers’ market, and a variety of fine restaurants and entertainment is all within a 5 minute walk. The pristine two-mile long sandy beach of the famous Hanalei Bay with its striking mountain and waterfall views, meandering rivers, and waves of all sizes, is a 4 minute walk. Our Hanalei Retreat offers you the ability to be in the native Hawaiian culture. Our Hanalei Retreat Hale puts you at the doorstep to so many adventures: snorkeling, hiking, surfing, boogie boarding, kayaking, boating, fishing, biking and photography are just some of them! Hanalei Retreat Hale is ideally suited for the entire family or a large group of friends. We offer two large island-style homes with a lovely garden area in between which is perfect for outdoor dining and gathering, or to just relax in the hot tub and enjoy the star-filled night sky.
Each home is equipped with beach chairs, umbrellas and towels, coolers, boogie boards, sand toys, and snorkel gear (rentals nearby for additional quantities or sizes).
Pililani Hale
In Hawaiian, Pililani means “close to Heaven”. We feel it and you will too as you experience the natural wonders of Hanalei and Kauai. Bright, open and airy with spacious air-conditioned rooms, you will feel right at home at Pililani. It’s a great place for short or extended stays in this tropical paradise. This 2nd story home features both partial ocean views and mountain views. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 baths upstairs.
Malapua Hale
In Hawaiian, Malapua means “Flower Gardens”. Malapua is the perfect place to relax and let your cares drift away. Light and comfortable, the high vaulted ceilings give you an expansive feeling inside. Gorgeous views of our thoughtfully landscaped flower gardens and mountain waterfalls await you from the beautiful spacious screened lanai. Malapua is a large 2 story island style home with full kitchen, living area and screened lanai for dining on the upper level. Downstairs level provides additional living area with pool table and wet bar. There are 2 bedrooms, 2 baths upstairs and 2 bedrooms, 1 large bath downstairs.
